The reciter: And Zuhayr ibn Harb, 'Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah, and Ishaq ibn Ibrahim narrated to us. Ishaq said: He informed us, and the other two said: He narrated to us. Jariir narrated from Mansur from Abu Wa'il from 'Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sahih Muslim 790a.
The Shaykh : O Allah, send blessings and peace upon him.
What a wretched person is he amongst them who says: I have forgotten such and such a verse. (He should instead of using this expression say): I have been made to forget it. Try to remember the Qur'an for it is more apt to escape from men's minds than a hobbled camel.
بئسما لأحدهم يقول: نسيت ءاية كيت وكيت بل هو نُسّي، استذكروا القرءان فلهو أشد تفصيا من صدور الرجال من النعم بعقلهاThe Shaykh : O Allah, send blessings and peace upon him.
