The reciter: Hārūn ibn Sa‘īd al-A‘lī narrated to us: Ibn Wahb narrated to us: ‘Amr informed us: Ibn Shihāb narrated to us: ‘Urwah narrated to us: ‘Ā’ishah:
That Abū Bakr entered upon her while two slave girls were with her during the days of Mina, singing and beating the drum, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was lying covered with a garment. Abū Bakr rebuked them, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) uncovered himself and said, “Leave them alone, O Abū Bakr, for these are days of festival.” She said: “I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) covering me with his cloak while I was watching the Abyssinians playing, and I was a young girl. So estimate the status of a young girl of tender age.” أن أبا بكر دخل عليها وعندها جاريتان في أيام منى تغنيان وتضربان ورسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم مسجى بثوبه فانتهرهما أبو بكر فكشف رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عنه وقال دعهما يا أبا بكر فإنها أيام عيد وقالت: رأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يسترني بردائه وأنا أنظر إلى الحبشة وهم يلعبون وأنا جارية فاقدروا قدر الجارية العربة الحديثة السن
