Is the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) supplication for Abu Salama when he died evidence of his love for him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) lost sons before Ibrahim, and he did not weep for them. Some of the Companions were supplicated for, while others were not supplicated for at the time of their death. O Shaykh, does this indicate that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) loved some of them more than others?

The Shaykh : That is not necessarily the case, but incidentally, can we be certain that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) was present at the death of anyone other than Abu Salama?

The questioner : No.

The Shaykh : We cannot be certain.

The questioner : It is possible that this was a love like Jacob's love for Joseph over his brothers.

The Shaykh : This is a proven reality; even a person loves some of his sons more than others.
