How did Aisha say, "Whoever angers you, O Messenger of Allah, may Allah put him in the Fire"?

The questioner : What is the understanding of Aisha's (may Allah be pleased with her) statement, "May Allah put him in the Fire"?

The Shaykh : It is known that whoever angers the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) does not deserve this; angering the Messenger is no light matter. However, the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) did so because they thought the matter would be abrogated or something similar.
