The reciter: And Yahya ibn Habib al-Harithi narrated, saying: Khalid ibn al-Harith narrated to us, saying: Qura narrated to us, saying: 'Abd al-Hamid ibn Jubayr ibn Shaybah narrated to us, saying: Safiyyah bint Shaybah narrated to us, saying: Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Sahih Muslim 1211z.
The Shaykh : Her statement (may Allah be pleased with her): Because the one who performs 'Umrah independently, and then performs Hajj independently, is better than the one who combines them, because he has performed the 'Umrah completely and the Hajj fully. And even though the one who combines them (qarin) obtains the same validity as the one who performs tamattu', due to the statement of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): But there is no doubt that if the 'Umrah is complete and independent, it is more perfect and better. For this reason, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) approved her action and did not say: You will return with two rewards.
And in it is also: evidence for the obligation of a woman covering her face in the state of ihram in the presence of non-mahram men. For this reason, he would strike her leg with the goad of the camel. And the goad of the camel is, perhaps, and Allah knows best, the stick used to strike the camel or something similar to it.
Messenger of Allah, the people are returning with two rewards whereas I am returning with one reward. Thereupon he commanded 'Abd al-Rahman b. Abu Bakr to take her to al-Tan'im. She ('A'isha) said: He seated me behind him on his camel. She (further) stated: I lifted my head covering and took it off from my neck. He struck my foot as if he was striking the camel. I said to him: Do you find anyone bere? She (further) said: I entered into the state of Ihram for 'Umra till we reached the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he was at Hasba.
يا رسول الله ، أيرجع النّاس بأجرين وأرجع بأجرٍ ؟ فأمر عبد الرّحمن بن أبي بكرٍ أن ينطلق بها إلى التّنعيم ، قالت : فأردفني خلفه على جملٍ له ، قالت : فجعلت أرفع خماري أحسره عن عنقي ، فيضرب رجلي بعلّة الرّاحلة ، قلت له : وهل ترى من أحدٍ ؟ قالت : فأهللت بعمرةٍ ، ثمّ أقبلنا حتّى انتهينا إلى رسول الله صلّى الله عليه وسلّم وهو بالحصبةThe Shaykh : Her statement (may Allah be pleased with her):
Will the people return with two rewards and I return with one reward?
أيرجع الناس بأجران وأرجع بأجر !The tawaf around the House suffices you for your Hajj and your 'Umrah.
