The narrator’s statement: “So when Aisha performed Hajj, she did what she used to do with the Messenger of Allah. How was that?”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Abu al-Zubayr’s statement: “So when Aisha performed Hajj, she did what she used to do with the Messenger of Allah?”

The Shaykh : Yes, it appears that the meaning is when she performed Hajj in the year, just as they did with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), if she was menstruating, not absolutely.

The questioner : Why do we not take it as an absolute statement?

The Shaykh : We do not take it as an absolute statement because she was a jurist (may Allah be pleased with her), and she knew that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions did not go out to al-Tan‘im after Hajj.
