If one knows that the hady he slaughtered and then left is not valid, he must slaughter another.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Yasin: If we say that a person’s sacrifice is not valid if he slaughtered it and left it, and there were no poor people or anything else?

The Shaykh : We did not say his udhiyah; did we say his udhiyah?
The student: The hady.

The Shaykh : Because the hady is obligatory, whereas the udhiyah is not obligatory.

The questioner : Yasin: I mean the hady. Does this mean that if he learns that it is not valid, and someone informs him that it is not valid or correct, and so on, and that he must slaughter it with his own hand, or for example, stop and feed the poor from it, does he have to repeat the hady?

The Shaykh : According to this opinion, he must repeat it; it is necessary.

The questioner : Yasin: And what is the stronger position?

The Shaykh : That one should refrain from ruling on it.
