The questioner : If one wants to respond to a person, should he limit himself to mentioning the faults? Should he mention his faults only in the aspect he is responding to, or his faults in general?

The Shaykh : If mentioning the other faults that are not the subject of the response strengthens the argument for the response, then let him do so. For example, he might say, "And he has an error in the acts of worship, or an error in the divine decree, or an error in such-and-such," so that the argument for the response is strengthened. That is, suppose we want to respond to him on the issues of the attributes; we respond to him and do not mention his virtues. If mentioning his misguidance in the issues of faith or the issues of the divine decree strengthens the argument for the response, then let us mention it so that the argument for the response is strengthened. Yes.
