If it were said that merely the two testimonies suffice for entering Paradise without any deeds, and a person died upon this, is the hadith of Mu'adh a valid argument for him before Allah the Exalted?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : I say, if a person understood from this hadith, for example, that merely the two testimonies suffice, and he continued upon this, bearing witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, but not praying and not doing anything based on what he heard from this hadith, and his statement "then let them rely" indicates that merely uttering the two testimonies is beneficial before Allah the Glorious and Exalted, and he did no deeds, would this argument benefit him before Allah the Glorious and Exalted?

The Shaykh : As for if he had not heard that abandoning prayer is disbelief, or if he heard from the scholars of his land that it is not disbelief, then he is excused before Allah, based on the principle indicated by the Book and the Sunnah, which is excuse due to ignorance. But if he was in a land where it was well known among them that abandoning prayer is disbelief, and among their scholars, but he refused to say anything other than the apparent meaning of this hadith, even though its apparent meaning, upon reflection, necessitates that they must worship Him, but the one that contains the possibility is the hadith of 'Ubadah, and you have already known the answer to it.
