And he explained the reason for his position by saying that Allah the Exalted said in the hadith

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : We mentioned that some people interpreted the coming here as the swiftness of recompense, and they explained that by saying: "And it is well known that the one who draws near to Allah (Mighty and Majestic), seeking to reach Him, does not draw near and seek to reach Allah the Exalted by walking alone. Rather, sometimes it is by walking, such as traveling to the mosques, the sites of Hajj, and jihad in the path of Allah, and the like. And sometimes it is by bowing and prostrating, and the like. It is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
The nearest a servant come to his Lord is when he is prostrating himself أن أقرب ما يكون العبد من ربه وهو ساجد
Sunan Abi Dawud 875Sahih (Al-Albani)
In fact, drawing near to Allah the Exalted and seeking to reach Him may occur while the servant is lying on his side, as Allah the Exalted said:
Who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides الذين يذكرون الله قياماً وقعوداً وعلى جنوبهم
[Ali 'Imran 3:191]
And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to 'Imran ibn Husayn:
offer prayer in standing condition; if you are unable to do so, then in sitting condition: if you are then at your side صل قائماً فإن لم تستطع فقاعداً فإن لم تستطع فعلى جنب
Sunan Abi Dawud 952Sahih (Al-Albani)
"
.
This interpreter, because He (Glorified and Exalted is He) comes running and draws near with His arm, explained this by saying: Does the one who draws near to Allah the Exalted not draw near to Allah except by walking? Yes, no. Rather, he draws near to Allah while sitting or lying down, indeed
The closest he is to his Lord is when he is prostrating أقرب ما يكون من ربه وهو ساجد
