Explanation of the author's statement: "And the people of the Sunnah have agreed that Allah the Exalted is above His Throne, and none of them said that He is not on the Throne"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And the people of the Sunnah have agreed that Allah the Exalted is above His Throne, and none of them said that He is not on the Throne". If the people of the Sunnah are mentioned, who are they? The Salafis said, "We are the people of the Sunnah." The Asha'irah said, "We are the people of the Sunnah." The Maturidiyyah said, "We are the people of the Sunnah." And some people said, "You are all people of the Sunnah," as a form of reconciliation. However, the correct position, without any doubt, is that the term "people of the Sunnah" applies only to whom? Only to the Salafis, those who follow the Salaf. This is because the meaning of "people of a thing" is those who are constant with that thing. And whoever departs from the Sunnah by a figurative interpretation that the Sunnah does not indicate is not among the people of the Sunnah. So the correct position is that when "people of the Sunnah" is mentioned, it refers only to the Salafis, meaning, I mean, those who follow the Salaf.
He said, "The people of the Sunnah have agreed that Allah the Exalted is above His Throne". It is known that if we said that the people of the Sunnah include the Asha'irah and the Maturidiyyah, if we said that, then this transmission of scholarly consensus would not be correct, because the Asha'irah and the Maturidiyyah do not affirm the rising above the Throne of Allah. "And none of them said that He is not on the Throne, and none of them said, yes, and it is not possible for anyone to transmit from them that He is not on the Throne, neither by explicit text nor by apparent meaning". What is the difference between an explicit text and an apparent meaning? An explicit text is what does not admit of more than one meaning, and an apparent meaning is what admits of two meanings, one of which is more apparent.
