The Shaykh :"The second aspect: that these deniers, when called to what came in the Book and the Sunnah regarding affirming the attributes of perfection for Allah the Exalted, turned away and refused".
Come, affirm what He affirmed for Himself: He affirmed the Hand, He affirmed the Face, He affirmed the Eye, He affirmed the Leg, He affirmed the Foot. Yes. He says: We do not affirm, he turns away and slips off, yes, and he retreats, and says: Leave the talk about this[Al-Baqarah 2:134]. Do not stir up this talk among the people. Yes, these people have gone, be quiet, sit down, yes, put straw on the fire, he does not know that when there is straw on top of the fire, what does it do to the straw? It consumes it until it comes out and destroys the people. These people turn away; when it is said: Come, please, affirm for Allah what He affirmed for Himself of the attributes of perfection, they turn away.
If the one who wants to debate them knows that they have knowledge that will shame them, hmm? They slip away and leave, and they start cutting off the conversation and bringing up something else.
And if they know that the one who wants to debate them has no knowledge or no courage, either he does not have the sword in his hand, or he has the sword in his hand but he cannot strike with it, they stand up and shout at him and scream, I seek refuge in Allah, listen to this man, the one who ascribes a body to Allah, the one who compares Allah to creation, the doer, this poor man is stammering, he cannot speak, as for them accepting the truth, that is far from them.
Now, those hypocrites[An-Nisa 4:61].
Rather, it is greater than that, and I seek refuge in Allah, among the hypocrites, look, we ask Allah for safety, their refusal to accept the truth[Al-Munafiqun 63:5] hmm? [Al-Munafiqun 63:5] They said: We are in no need of this man's seeking forgiveness, and we have no need of it, we ask Allah for safety.
Come, affirm what He affirmed for Himself: He affirmed the Hand, He affirmed the Face, He affirmed the Eye, He affirmed the Leg, He affirmed the Foot. Yes. He says: We do not affirm, he turns away and slips off, yes, and he retreats, and says: Leave the talk about this
That was a nation which has passed on. It will have [the consequence of] what it earned, and you will have what you have earned

And when it is said to them, "Come to what Allah has revealed and to the Messenger," you see the hypocrites turning away from you in aversion.
