Is it permissible to carry the Noble Qur'an to a distant place for its recitation, and what is the ruling on that? May Allah guide you.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : This message was sent by the sender Sa'id Mahmud. In fact, the question appears ambiguous. He asks: Is it permissible to carry the Noble Qur'an to a distant place for its recitation, and what is the ruling on that? May Allah guide you?

The Shaykh : Perhaps he means by the distant place the lands of disbelief.

The questioner : That may be the case.

The Shaykh : Yes, indeed. We say there is nothing wrong with a person carrying the Qur'an to a non-Islamic land, because some of the scholars mentioned the prohibition of traveling with the Qur'an to the abode of war where it is feared that these enemies will seize this mushaf and insult it. However, as for a land that has a treaty with your country, as is the known practice between states today, there is no harm in a person taking the Book of Allah with him to read from it and to teach it to other Muslims there, so that benefit is obtained for everyone. And success is from Allah.
