Reading from the author's text with commentary and collation of manuscripts: "And also in the issue

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Yes
The reader: "And also in the issue, what Abu Bakr al-Bazzar narrated. He said: Ibrahim ibn Sa'id al-Jawhari narrated to us. He said: Abu Ahmad narrated to us. He said: 'Abd al-Jabbar ibn al-'Abbas narrated to us, and he was a man from the people of Kufa who leaned toward the Shi'ah, and his hadith is sound and correct,
And this, may Allah know best, is the statement of al-Bazzar, from Abu Ishaq, from Aws ibn Dhamraj, who said: Salman said: 'We prefer you, O Arabs, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) preferred you. We do not marry your women, and we do not lead you in prayer.'
And this is a good chain of narration, and Abu Ahmad is, may Allah know best, Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah al-Zubayri, one of the prominent trustworthy scholars, and his shaykh praised him, and al-Jawhari and Abu Ishaq al-Sabi'i are too famous to need praise, and Aws ibn Dhamraj is trustworthy, and Muslim narrated from him. And Salman informed that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) preferred the Arabs, so it is either a command or a report. If it is a command from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)

The Shaykh : Do you have it? So it is either a command or a report, with the accusative case. Do you have it?
The student: No.

The Shaykh : What is the sign of the accusative case? Meaning, so it is either—his statement—his preference being a command, or it is a report. Yes, the one I have is in the accusative case, meaning place an alif after the ra' and make it accusative, because it is closer to correctness.
The reader: "If it is a command from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), it is a binding ruling, and if it is a report, it is a truthful hadith. The completion of the hadith has been narrated from Salman through other routes. Al-Thawri narrated it from Abu Ishaq, from Abu Layla al-Kindi, from Salman al-Farisi, that he said: 'You have preferred us, O Arabs, with two things: we do not lead you in prayer, and we do not marry your women.' Muhammad ibn Abi 'Umar al-'Adani and Sa'id in his Sunan, and others, narrated it. This is what most jurists who considered Arabness to be a condition of compatibility with regard to a non-Arab used as evidence,
And Ahmad used it as evidence in one of the two narrations that compatibility is not a right belonging to a specific individual, but rather it is among the absolute rights in marriage, to the extent that he separates them when it is absent. And the followers of al-Shafi'i and Ahmad used this as evidence that honor is what entitles one to being given precedence in prayer,
And similar to that is what Muhammad ibn Abi 'Umar al-'Adani narrated. He said: Sa'id ibn 'Ubayd narrated to us. 'Ali ibn Rabi'ah informed us from Rabi' ibn Fadlalah: that he went out with twelve riders, all of whom had accompanied Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) except one. Correct, except one
?

The Shaykh : It is not clear to me, what
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Here, except one, it can be except one, meaning except Rabi' ibn Fadlalah
The reader: "All of them had accompanied Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) except one, and among them was Salman al-Farisi, and they were on a journey. So the time for prayer came, and the people competed among themselves as to who would lead them in prayer. So one of them led them in four rak'ahs. When he finished, Salman said: 'What is this? What is this?' repeatedly. Half of the four—Marwan said: meaning half of the four—we are in greater need of lightening the prayer. So the people said to him: 'Pray for us, O Abu 'Abd Allah; you are the most deserving of us for that.' He said: 'No, you are the sons of Isma'il, the leaders, and we are the ministers.' And in the issue there are reports other than what I mentioned, some of which have issues and some are fabricated. And also, 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him)
