Reading from the author's words, with commentary on them and collation of the manuscripts: "And we do not say the words of the Shu'ubiyyah and the scum of the Mawali who do not love the Arabs

The reader: "And we do not say the words of the Shu'ubiyyah and the scum of the Mawali who do not love the Arabs, nor do they acknowledge their virtue, for their statement is a religious innovation and a contradiction. This statement is also narrated from Ahmad himself in the Risalah of Ahmad ibn Sa'id al-Isfahani from him—if it is authentic—and it is his statement, and the statement of the majority of the scholars of knowledge. A group of people held the view that the Arab race has no virtue over the non-Arab race. These people are called the Shu'ubiyyah because they advocate for the shu'ub, which are distinct from the qabā'il, as it is said: the qabā'il are for the Arabs, and the shu'ub are for the non-Arabs. Some people even prefer certain types of non-Arabs over the Arabs. The general rule is that such speech does not come except from a type of hypocrisy: either in belief, or in action stemming from the desires of the self, along with doubts that necessitated it. For this reason, it came in the hadith: Although discussion of these issues rarely lacks the desire of the self and a share for Satan from both sides, and this is forbidden in all issues. Indeed, Allah has commanded the believers to hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together, and He forbade them from division and disagreement, and He commanded them to reconcile between people. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sunan al-Bayhaqi 18:515 These are two authentic hadiths. In this chapter, there are countless texts from the Book and the Sunnah. The evidence for the virtue of the Arab race, then the Quraysh race, then the Banu Hashim race is what al-Tirmidhi narrated from the hadith of Isma'il ibn Abi Khalid from Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad"

The reader: "And the meaning is that the palm tree is good in itself, even if its root is not so. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed that he is the best of people in soul and lineage. Al-Tirmidhi also narrated from the hadith of al-Thawri"
The Shaykh : He says like a palm tree in a low-lying place. Al-kabwah is a dirty place, but a tall and noble palm tree. Yes.
The reader: "And al-Tirmidhi also narrated from the hadith of al-Thawri from Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad from Abdullah ibn al-Harith from al-Muttalib ibn Abi Wada'ah, who said: Al-Abbas came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and it seemed he had heard something. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood on the pulpit and said:Sahih al-Bukhari 1466"

Love for the Arabs is a sign of faith, and hatred for them is hypocrisy.
حب العرب إيمان وبغضهم نفاقThe believers in their mutual love, mercy, and compassion are like one body; when one part of it suffers, the rest of the body responds with fever and sleeplessness.

Narrated `Amr bin Al-Harith: Zainab, the wife of `Abdullah said, "I was in the Mosque and saw the Prophet (p.b.u.h) saying, 'O women ! Give alms even from your ornaments.' " Zainab used to provide for `Abdullah and those orphans who were under her protection. So she said to `Abdullah, "Will you ask Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) whether it will be sufficient for me to spend part of the Zakat on you and the orphans who are under my protection?" He replied "Will you yourself ask Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ?" (Zainab added): So I went to the Prophet and I saw there an Ansari woman who was standing at the door (of the Prophet (ﷺ) ) with a similar problem as mine. Bilal passed by us and we asked him, 'Ask the Prophet (ﷺ) whether it is permissible for me to spend (the Zakat) on my husband and the orphans under my protection.' And we requested Bilal not to inform the Prophet (ﷺ) about us. So Bilal went inside and asked the Prophet (ﷺ) regarding our problem. The Prophet (p.b.u.h) asked, "Who are those two?" Bilal replied that she was Zainab. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Which Zainab?" Bilal said, "The wife of `Abdullah (bin Mas`ud)." The Prophet said, "Yes, (it is sufficient for her) and she will receive a double rewards (for that): One for helping relatives, and the other for giving Zakat."
