And in both of their collections, from the hadith of Jabir: (And as for the Isha prayer, he sometimes delayed it; if he saw them gathering, he hastened it, and if he saw them delaying, he delayed it)

The Shaykh : Then he said, the new lesson: "And in both of their collections" means in al-Bukhari and Muslim, from the hadith of Jabir:
And as for the Isha prayer, sometimes and sometimes والعشاء أحيانا وأحيانا
Meaning, he sometimes prays the Isha prayer by hastening it, and sometimes by delaying it; sometimes he brings it forward and sometimes he delays it. How is this detail? He says:
Whenever he saw the people assembled (for `Isha' prayer) he would pray earlier and if the people delayed, he would delay the prayer. إذا رآهم اجتمعوا عجل وإذا رآهم أبطؤوا أخره
Sahih al-Bukhari 560
If the congregation who attend the mosque gather, he hastens it, meaning: he brings it forward at the beginning of the time, out of consideration for them.
And if he saw them delaying, he delayed it for two reasons: consideration for the virtue of the time and consideration for the circumstances of the congregation. And as for the Fajr
the Prophet (ﷺ) used to offer the Fajr Prayers when it still dark كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يصليها بغلس
Sahih al-Bukhari 560
This Fajr is in a state of being occupied; the verb that was assigned to it is occupied, and that is his saying:
He used to pray it يصليها
But is the preferred choice to make it accusative, or is the preferred choice to make it nominative?
The preferred choice is to make it accusative because verbs preceded it that are conjoined to the verbal sentence, so the preferred choice is the accusative case. Therefore, in the chapter of occupation, the five grammatical rulings apply regarding inflection: sometimes the nominative is obligatory, sometimes the accusative is obligatory, sometimes the nominative is recommended, sometimes the accusative is recommended, and sometimes both options are permissible on equal footing, as is known in the books of grammar. And his saying:
He used to pray it in the dim light of dawn كان يصليها بغلس
The dim light of dawn is the mixing of the darkness of the night with the light of the dawn such that neither one predominates over the other, because if the light of the dawn predominates, it is full daylight, and if the darkness of the night predominates, it is neither full daylight nor the dim light of dawn, but rather it is the mixing.
