Explanation of the Book of Prayer-04

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He said: "And from Jabir ibn Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
I prayed with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayers on two I'ds wore than once or twice without there being Adhan and Iqama. صليت مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم العيدين غير مرة ولا مرتين بغير أذان ولا إقامة
Sahih Muslim 887
Muslim narrated it. And something similar is in the agreed-upon hadith from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and others"
His statement:
I prayed with the Prophet صليت مع النبي
The companionship here implies gathering in the same place. And his statement:
the two festivals العيدين
means by them the festivals of al-Fitr and al-Adha. And his statement:
not once or twice غير مرة ولا مرتين
Sunan Abi Dawud 1148Hasan Sahih (Al-Albani)
means more than that, so the minimum is three. He says:
with no Adhan and no Iqamah بغير أذان ولا إقامة
Sunan Ibn Majah 1274Sahih (Darussalam)
without an adhan for the entry of the time for the prayer of the two festivals, which is the rising of the sun by the length of a spear.
nor an iqamah ولا إقامة
at the time of performing the prayer. Rather, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), when he entered the mosque, would enter into the prayer immediately. He would enter into the prayer immediately. Good.
