And He caused you to inherit their land and their homes and their properties and a land which you have not trodden
[Al-Ahzab 33:27]
after it, and it is Khaybar, which was taken after Qurayzah.
And Allah is Able to do all things.
[Al-Ahzab: 27]
And He made you inherit their land.
This verb takes two objects; the first object is the pronoun "you" and the second is "their land."
And He made you inherit their land.
Their dwellings.
What is the difference between "land" and "dwellings"? "Dwellings" is the plural of "dar" (house) and refers to residences and neighborhoods, whereas "land" is broader in scope. "Wealth" refers to goods, dirhams, dinars, and other such things.
And a land which you had not yet trodden.
This means that you have not yet trodden upon it up to now, but you will inherit it, and it is the land of Khaybar, for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) conquered it afterwards in the sixth year.
And Allah is Able to do all things.
Nothing is too difficult for Him. And His saying:
And Allah is Able to do all things.
The object was placed before the verb to confirm the occurrence of the action with it. For this reason, He said:
Allah is Able to do all things.
Do not say, as some people do, "He is Able to do what He wills," because if you say "Able to do what He wills," you have restricted His power to what He wills, whereas His power relates to what He wills and what He has not willed; even that which He has not willed is within His power. And Allah knows best.
