The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “And when the believers saw the confederates, they said, ‘This is what Allah and His Messenger promised us, and Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth.’ And it only increased them in faith and submission.”

The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Rise to your master. قوموا إلى سيدكم
So they stood up to their leader, Sa'd ibn Mu'adh, and dismounted him from his donkey and he sat before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Indeed, these people are satisfied to submit to your judgment. إن هؤلاء رضوا بأن ينزلوا إلى حكمك
Then he said to them, turning to them, “Are you satisfied with that, and is my judgment binding?” They said, “Yes.” Then he turned to the other side where the Muslims were and said,
Are you satisfied with this? أترضون بهذا
They said, “Yes.” However, when he turned toward the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), he lowered his head in reverence for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). So he passed this judgment which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) supported, and he said:
from above the Seven Heavens إنه حكم الله من فوق سبع سموات

How many were these? Yes.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : They said, when they saw the confederates, “This is what Allah and His Messenger promised us.” The situation required that fear and panic should befall them, just as it happened to the hypocrites.
And among its benefits is the perfection of their belief in Allah and His Messenger in their saying, “And Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth.” They witnessed what Allah had promised, then they displayed certainty in it with their tongues, by their saying:
and Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth وصدق الله ورسوله
[Al-Ahzab 33:22]
