Then Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said: [Saba 34:5] What is derived from this verse is: the realization of what Allah described the Qur'an as being, which is what? No, that it is *mathani* (repeated). When a meaning is mentioned in it, its counterpart is mentioned, and when an actor is mentioned, the one who opposes him is mentioned.
Also derived from it is: the wisdom in the address, and that it is necessary for the address to be comprehensive between the causes of fear and the causes of hope. Why, Ya Fahd? Why?
The student : ......
The Shaykh : It should be comprehensive, and because if only fear is mentioned, despair of the mercy of Allah takes hold of the heart, or if only hope is mentioned, security from the mercy of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) takes hold of it.
And among the benefits of the noble verse is: that the disbelievers strive earnestly to invalidate the verses of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), as He said:[Al-Hajj 22:51] And as we know, *sa'y* (striving) is running with intensity, so these people strive earnestly to invalidate the verses of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He).
And among its benefits is also: that these disbelievers are as if they are trying to outdo Allah and compete with Him, as He said:.
And among its benefits is also: that these who strove against the verses of Allah to disprove them are punished with this painful punishment:[Saba 34:5] And His saying: means from a bad, painful punishment, as we have passed through.
And among the benefits of the noble verse is: the warning against a person's striving to invalidate the verses of Allah. If we say, based on the rule that passed us in the rules of exegesis before yesterday, that when something is prohibited, it is a command for its opposite, then this verse includes the encouragement to strive in the verses of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) to establish and firm them, and that is the case. For we are commanded to strive to the best of our ability to establish the verses of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and spread them among the community until the religion is established.
And among the benefits of the noble verse is: the establishment of the recompense and the wisdom in it, because the believers who did good deeds have forgiveness and noble provision, and these have a painful punishment of a severe retribution.
But those who strive against Our verses [seeking] to cause failure - for them will be a painful punishment of foul nature.
