The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “Say: Yes, and you will be in a state of humiliation.”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Allah the Exalted said:
Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." قل نعم وأنتم داخرون
[As-Saffat 37:18]
In this noble verse, there is evidence for the importance of the answer to those who ask, “If we die and become dust and bones, will we be resurrected or not?” The point is that Allah commanded His Prophet specifically to answer them. We have mentioned previously that when Allah commands His Prophet with a specific command, it is evidence of the importance of that command, because the default is that the entire Qur'an has been commanded to be conveyed by the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)
O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord يا أيها الرسول بلغ ما أنزل إليك من ربك
[Al-Ma'idah 5:67]
. So when a verse comes in which Allah says, “Say,” this is a specific command to convey it, indicating care for this matter and that it is of importance.
And among the benefits of this noble verse is that it is obligatory to refute the doubts of the people of falsehood, because Allah did not say, “Leave them,” but rather He said:
Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." قل نعم وأنتم داخرون
[As-Saffat 37:18]

And among the benefits of this noble verse is that the deniers of the Resurrection will be gathered on the Day of Resurrection in a state of humiliation, as He said:
and you are in a state of humiliation وأنتم داخرون
We have mentioned during the exegesis several verses indicating that they will be gathered on the Day of Resurrection in a state of lowliness, as Allah the Exalted said:
And you will see them being exposed to the Fire, humbled from humiliation, looking from [behind] a covert glance. وَتَرَاهُمْ يُعْرَضُونَ عَلَيْهَا خَاشِعِينَ مِنَ الذُّلِّ يَنْظُرُونَ مِنْ طَرْفٍ خَفِيٍّ
[Surat al-Shura: 45]
And among the benefits of the verse is that the believers in it will be gathered on the Day of Resurrection in a state of honor. The point is that if the recompense for these deniers is that they will be gathered in a state of humiliation and lowliness, then the opposite will be the opposite. The recompense is of the same kind as the deed, so the believers will be gathered on the Day of Resurrection in a state of honor.
