Then Allah the Exalted said: [As-Saffat 37:54-55] to the end of it.
Among the benefits of these verses is that this one, whom Allah granted the favor of salvation, asks his brothers in Paradise and offers them the chance to look, in order to know the magnitude of Allah's favor upon them. For a thing is not made clear except by its opposite. This is a benefit we summarize by saying that it is recommended for a person to look at the misguidance of those who have gone astray, so that the magnitude of Allah's favor upon him with guidance becomes clear. For things are only made clear by their opposites, as the poet said: "And by their opposites things become clear"
And among the benefits of the noble verse is that the conditions of the Day of Resurrection are not measured by the conditions of this world. For this man looks from the highest of the highest down to the lowest of the lowest, and he sees his companion in the midst of the Blazing Fire.
Branching from this benefit is that everything reported regarding the conditions of the Day of Resurrection that souls find hard to accept because they have not witnessed its like in this world should not be a place of rejection. For example, it is established in the authentic hadith: No one would say, "How can they remain when the Sun comes closer to them to this extent?" Likewise, it was reported that people will differ on the Day of Resurrection regarding sweat. The sweat: And they are in one place. A person might find the existence of this hard to accept because he does not see its like in this world. We say: Do not reject it, for the conditions of the Hereafter are not like the conditions of this world. On the Day of Resurrection, the believers: [Al-Hadid 57:12] and the disbelievers are in darkness, and the place is one. So these do not benefit from the light of those, even though in this world, if one of us had a flashlight in his hand to light his path, those around him would benefit from it. So do not reject that such a matter may occur in the Hereafter, for the conditions of the Hereafter are not measured by the conditions of this world. This man looks from the highest of the highest down to the lowest of the lowest and sees his companion in the midst of the Blazing Fire.
And among its benefits is that this one who looks addresses his companion in the lowest of the lowest and speaks to him. Each of them addresses the other. This is also not impermissible and not to be rejected, for the conditions of the Hereafter are not the conditions of this world. And because we may have witnessed in this world something similar to this state through modern communications. A person may address his companion while he is in the East of the earth and the other is in the West, and he addresses him and sees him as well.
And among the benefits of the noble verse is the clarification of the rebuke of these corrupters on the Day of Resurrection. For he rebuked him by saying:[As-Saffat 37:56] And it has come in other verses that on the Day of Resurrection, some of them will disbelieve in some of them and curse one another: [Al-A'raf 7:38] Then Allah the Mighty and Majestic said:
And among its benefits is that this bad companion was trying with all his might to destroy his companion. And because of the intensity of his calling, he nearly destroyed him:[As-Saffat 37:56]
And among its benefits is that the true destruction is the destruction of religion. For he described that with the word "perish": "You nearly caused me to perish." And this is the truth. For the true destruction is the destruction of religion. As for this world, it was only created for perishing. People were not created to remain in this world.[Ar-Rahman 55:26] [Al-Anbiya: 34] [Al-'Ankabut 29:57] So the true destruction is the destruction of what? Religion. [Az-Zumar: 15] I hope you will keep the rows straight. Not everyone should just come and sit, because there will be questions.
(54) He will say, "Would you [care to] look
