The questioner : His other question says: A brother from a land of disbelief, such as the Soviet Union and other lands of disbelief that are considered a land of war, what is the answer regarding this brother in his dealings and correspondence?

The Shaykh : This brother who is in the lands of the disbelievers, whether they are a land of war or a land of treaty, must be written to by the person to advise him and invite him to come to the lands of Islam, because that is safer for his religion and clears him from the clutches of shirk (associating partners with Allah) and kufr (disbelief). As for leaving him and boycotting him, this may only increase him in evil, badness, and adherence to what he is upon. What is required of this person is to write to his brother, invite him to the religion, and encourage him in it, and then to emigrate from the lands of disbelief to the lands of Islam.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Unless his residence there is for a benefit that returns to Islam, such as being a da'iyah (caller to Islam) there who is successful in his calling. In this case, residence for this purpose is permissible, and it may even be obligatory upon him. Yes.

The questioner : Yes, this is what we were able to do from the message of the listener Sa'id Mustafa Abd al-Rahman Fadl from the Arab Republic of Egypt. We hope that the brother Sa'id will send questions that can be answered, but that he submits a question about the types of kufr (disbelief), the types of shirk (associating partners with Allah), the types of oppression, and the types of fisq (open sinfulness), and then asks us to do so in detail with examples and comparison, or asks, for example, about a book by Sayyid Qutb, In the Shade of the Noble Qur'an, and asks us to review it in a session that does not exceed twenty minutes. This is impossible for us because it defeats the purpose. Therefore, we ask that he send us questions like these, and that they be concise, for example, about kufr (disbelief) once, about fisq (open sinfulness) once, about something from the book, or of this nature.
This is a message we received from the listener Sh 'A 'A from Riyadh.
