The benefits derived from the saying of the Exalted: “Indeed, those who accuse chaste, unaware, believing women of fornication are cursed in this world and the Hereafter, and for them is a great punishment.”

And in this is evidence of the gravity of falsely accusing chaste, unaware, believing women. It is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that it is among the major sins. He said: and he mentioned them Sahih Muslim 89. And in this is evidence of the jealousy of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) regarding the perfection of His jealousy, and that He (Exalted and Majestic is He) is jealous. And it has come in the authentic hadith
Muwatta Malik 12:1 And likewise the story of Sa'd ibn Ubadah when the saying of the Exalted was revealed:
[Surat al-Nur: 13] So Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) found it difficult how a man would find a man with his wife, then go seeking four witnesses, and they would not come to him until the matter was already over. And he (may Allah be pleased with him) said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): “By Allah, I will strike him with the sword, not sheathed” meaning I will strike him with the edge of the sword until I kill him. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes. And this indicates to you: look how Allah obligated for these false accusers that they be cursed in this world and the Hereafter, and that they have a great punishment. For this reason, the Shari'ah came with what Sa'd ibn Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) desired. Indeed, if a person finds, may Allah protect us, a man with his wife, he has the right to kill him, whether this perpetrator is a chaste man or not. He also does not need to defend himself; he does not need to say, “If I am unable to remove him, then I have the right to kill him.” Rather, he has the right to kill him directly, because this is not from the category of repelling an aggressor, but it is from the category of jealousy for his protected rights. For this reason, the incident occurred in the time of 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and they disputed before him. They admitted that this killed man did not deny the husband’s claim that he found him with his wife, because he said: “O Commander of the Faithful, I did not strike except between the thighs of my wife. If there was anyone between them, then I have killed him.” So 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) took the sword and said to him: “If they return, then return [to killing them].” And he did not deny this action to him, because this person cannot bear that a man violates his protected rights to this extent until he kills him. In any case, in this verse is the affirmation of the jealousy of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). The aspect of this is that Allah protected the honor of His believing, chaste, unaware servants with this great punishment, which is the curse in this world and the Hereafter.
Now, is it derived from the verse that it is permissible to curse the one who falsely accuses a chaste, unaware, believing woman of fornication, due to the saying “they are cursed in this world”? Or is this a description of the actual situation, that people curse them, hate them, and keep them away from their gatherings and their company? What is your opinion? The truth is that the verse is ambiguous, like the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Mishkat al-Masabih 355 and the narration of Muslim: Sunan Abi Dawud 25Sahih (Al-Albani) So he called that a curse. Does the meaning imply that these people who do this action are shunned by people, kept away from, and abandoned in their morals? Or is it permissible for us to curse them, saying, “May Allah curse the one who relieves himself in the path of people or in their shade”? Here we say, “May Allah curse the one who falsely accuses a chaste, unaware, believing woman of fornication.” Yes, the apparent meaning is that the matter includes both: it includes the actual situation that people actually curse them and keep away from them and keep them away from their gatherings, and it is permissible for a person to curse the one who falsely accuses a chaste, unaware, believing woman of fornication, because Allah has cursed him. So supplicating against him with a curse is from the category of realizing what Allah has informed about.
Avoid the seven destructive sins
اجتنبوا السبع الموبقاتslandering chaste women who are believers, but unwary
قذف المحصنات الغافلات المؤمناتthere is no-one more jealous than Allah of a male or female slave of his who commits adultery
ما من أحد أغير من الله أن يزني عبده أو تزني أمتهWhy did they [who slandered] not produce for it four witnesses? And when they do not produce the witnesses, then it is they, in the sight of Allah, who are the liars.
Are you not amazed at the jealousy of Sa'd? By Allah, I am more jealous than he, and By Allah, I am more jealous than me.
