It also contains evidence that it is permissible for the one seeking advice to disagree with the advisor if he does not see that he is correct in his advice. This is because when they mentioned what indicates that they intended to fight him, and she did not see that as correct, she disagreed with them. She said:
Indeed kings - when they enter a city, they ruin it إِنَّ الْمُلُوكَ إِذَا دَخَلُوا قَرْيَةً أَفْسَدُوهَا ...
[Surat al-Naml: 34] to the end of it.
It contains evidence of this woman’s status among her people, because after she consulted them and they expressed their opinion, they were polite with her and said:
but the command is yours, so see what you will command." وَالأَمْرُ إِلَيْكِ فَانظُرِي مَاذَا تَأْمُرِينَ
[Surat al-Naml: 33]. Is it also taken from this that if an advisor presents his advice to a person who is greater than him in rank, understanding, or knowledge, he may say something like this? Yes. He may say something like this out of politeness, and the one seeking advice is at his option: if he wishes, he accepts the advice, and if he wishes, he does not accept it.
