The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: ((Say: "I have been commanded to worship Allah, being sincere to Him in religion. And I have been commanded to be the first of the Muslims."))

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, said:
Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, I have been commanded to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion. قل إني أمرت أن أعبد الله مخلِصًا له الدين
[Az-Zumar 39:11]

Among the benefits of this verse is that a person is commanded to declare the worship of Allah that He has ordered
I have been commanded to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion.
[Az-Zumar 39:11]
. For this, there are two benefits: the first benefit is the encouragement to follow him in this, and the second benefit is the clarification of the right of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) to this, and that He is the one who is worthy to be worshipped alone
Indeed, I have been commanded to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him
[Az-Zumar 39:11]
.
And among the benefits of this verse is that sincerity is obligatory in worship, because he was commanded to worship Allah with this description
[being] sincere to Him in religion.
[Az-Zumar 39:2]
.
And among its benefits is that whoever does not be sincere has not fulfilled the command, and branching from this principle is that his deed will be rejected. So if he associates partners with Allah, he will have done a deed that is not in accordance with the command of Allah and His Messenger, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
He who did any act for which there is no sanction from our behalf, that is to be rejected.
Sahih Muslim 1718b
.
And among the benefits of His saying the Exalted:
And I have been commanded to be the first [among you] of the Muslims." وأمرت لأن اكون أول المسلمين
[Az-Zumar 39:12]
is that it is obligatory to hasten to Islam without hesitation, because Allah commanded that, and this is based on the fact that the intended meaning of "first" here is the priority of the attribute, meaning precedence.
And among the benefits of this verse is that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) is a commanded servant, and branching from this is that he has nothing of the command, and Allah has made this explicit in His saying:
Not for you, [O Muhammad, but for Allah], is the decision
[Ali 'Imran 3:128]
, and branching from this as well is the misguidance of those people who call upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to rescue them or to bring them good and ward off evil from them.
