The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: << لما جآءت قيل أهكذا عرشك قالت كأنه هو وأوتينا العلم من قبلها وكنا مسلمين >

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
When it was...
The student: ...
The Shaykh : Yes.
The student: Yes, that is right.
The Shaykh : Huh?
The student: ...
The Shaykh : Yes, that is correct.
The student: When it came...
The Shaykh : All right. We mentioned in his saying... the benefit of the test, testing a person to know his knowledge and intelligence, like what happened here.
And His saying, the Exalted:
So when she arrived, it was said [to her], "Is your throne like this?" She said, "[It is] as though it was it." [Solomon said], "And we were given knowledge before her, and we have been Muslims [in submission to Allah]. فَلَمَّا جَاءَتْ قِيلَ أَهَكَذَا عَرْشُكِ قَالَتْ كَأَنَّهُ هُوَ وَأُوتِينَا الْعِلْمَ مِنْ قَبْلِهَا وَكُنَّا مُسْلِمِينَ
[Surat al-Naml: 42].
It is derived from this: euphemism in speech, which is when a person shows something other than what he intends. So their saying:
Is this like أَهَكَذَا
is a euphemism, because the reality of the matter is that the throne before them is her throne. So the requirement of the question would have been for them to say: "Is this your throne?" But they used the form of euphemism to distance the matter, because if it were her throne, she might rush and say: "No," because she finds it unlikely that he arrived in this short time, with guards upon it and locks upon it. So it was said to her: "Is this like your throne?"
And her saying:
She said, "[It is] as though it was it." قَالَتْ كَأَنَّهُ هُوَ
[An-Naml 27:42]
contains evidence that the answer should correspond to the question, because she said:
It is like it كَأَنَّهُ
using a simile, and did not say "it is."
And in it is evidence of this woman's intelligence and her caution against what she feared might be an error, because if she had said "No," it might be it, and if she had said "Yes," it might be something else. So she said:
It is like it كَأَنَّهُ هُوَ
She chose this for the two reasons we mentioned in... and in the exegesis.
And in this is evidence that a person should speak of the blessing of Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, upon him, due to His saying:
And we were given knowledge before her, and we have been Muslims [in submission to Allah]. وَأُوتِينَا الْعِلْمَ مِنْ قَبْلِهَا وَكُنَّا مُسْلِمِينَ
[Surat al-Naml: 42] Because the correct view is that this phrase is from the speech of whom?
The student: Solomon.
The Shaykh : It is from the speech of Solomon, even though some people raise the possibility that it is from her speech, but the correct view is that it is from the speech of Solomon.
The student: ...?
The Shaykh : No, Allah does not describe Himself as a Muslim,
And we were given knowledge وَأُوتِينَا الْعِلْمَ
[Surat al-Naml: 42] He did not say "We were given." And in it also...
The student: ...?
The Shaykh : Huh?
The student: Allah does not...?
The Shaykh : Yes, yes, yes. And... We brought it in the most apparent view because it is well known.
