And Allah the Exalted said: [Al-'Ankabut: 7] Among the benefits of this verse is the virtue of faith and righteous deeds.
And among its benefits is that sins are expiated by them, and what is meant by sins here are the minor sins, yes or no? The minor sins, based on his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):Mishkat al-Masabih 564 Yes... what is expiated... by righteous deeds... so repentance is necessary in them.
And among them is that the reward of Allah the Exalted is better than the deed of the believer and more beautiful, based on His saying:[Al-'Ankabut 29:7]. And among its benefits is that it is necessary for the deed to be righteous, and the righteous deed is what combines two conditions: sincerity for Allah Mighty and Majestic, and following the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). So if it is not sincere, it is defective, and if it is not in accordance with the Shari'ah, it is also defective. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sahih Muslim 1718b.
We begin the new lesson now.[Al-'Ankabut 29:8] Yes... belief is part of faith... this is sincerity and following. Belief cannot be established except... and following is not possible except with belief. Faith precedes... faith means belief... acceptance requires faith. Faith is a condition for acceptance; no person who is not a believer has their deed accepted. Belief preceding righteous deeds is necessary. Then, sincerity: how can there be sincerity without belief? How do you be sincere to one you do not believe in? Or how do you follow one you do not believe in? So sincerity and following include belief... No, it is known that there are only two conditions. It is known among the scholars that there are two conditions...
And those who believe and do righteous deeds - We will surely remove from them their misdeeds and will surely reward them according to the best of what they used to do.
And among its benefits is that sins are expiated by them, and what is meant by sins here are the minor sins, yes or no? The minor sins, based on his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
The five [daily] prayers, Friday to Friday and Ramadan to Ramadan make atonement for what has happened since the previous one when major sins have been avoided.
الصلوات الخمس والجمعة إلى الجمعة ورمضان إلى رمضان مُكَفِّرَاتٌ لِمَا بينهن ما اجْتُنِبَتِ الكبائرAnd among them is that the reward of Allah the Exalted is better than the deed of the believer and more beautiful, based on His saying:
and will surely reward them according to the best of what they used to do.
وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَحْسَنَ الَّذِي كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَHe who did any act for which there is no sanction from our behalf, that is to be rejected.
