Clarification of the Stronger Position Regarding the Ruling on the Slaughter of One Who Did Not Invoke the Name of Allah, What Is Slaughtered for Idols, and What Is Dedicated to Other Than Allah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And whatever is slaughtered in the name of other than Allah is forbidden. So what is slaughtered for idols, even if a person invokes the name of Allah upon it, is forbidden, by His saying:
those which are sacrificed on stone altars
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]
and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah
[Al-Baqarah 2:173]
by saying in the name of the Messiah or the like of that, it is forbidden. This is the correct and stronger opinion. And what the author (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned regarding the disagreement, all of it is weak, because the verse is explicit. Allah the Exalted said:
Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah, and [those animals] killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]
after which:
those which are sacrificed on stone altars
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]

The student: And what the predator ate?

The Shaykh :
and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death], and those which are sacrificed on stone altars
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]
Yes, it is named.
