What is the ruling on slaughtering for the awliya (close friends of Allah), and what is the ruling if a man delegates another man to perform this slaughter and he intends it for Allah? Does he incur sin in that? And what is the ruling on eating from these slaughtered animals?

The questioner : Some people among us slaughter animals for other than Allah, for example for Imam 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) or for Shaykh 'Abd al-Qadir. Sometimes some of them ask me to slaughter for them with that intention, but inside my heart I say: it is for Allah the Exalted, because I know that it is not permissible. Is there any issue with this? Do I incur any sin? And is it permissible to eat from the meat of those slaughtered animals?
The Shaykh : Slaughtering for other than Allah is shirk (associating partners with Allah), because slaughtering is an act of worship, as Allah commanded it in His saying:[Al-Kawthar 108:2] and His saying: [Al-An'am 6:162-163] So whoever slaughters for other than Allah is a mushrik (one who associates partners with Allah) with a shirk that takes him out of the religion, and I seek refuge in Allah. Whether he slaughters for an angel from the angels, or a messenger from the messengers, or a prophet from the prophets, or a caliph from the caliphs, or a wali (close friend of Allah) from the awliya (close friends of Allah), or a scholar from the scholars, all of that is shirk (associating partners with Allah) with Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and takes one out of the religion.
It is obligatory for a person to fear Allah the Exalted in himself and not to fall into that shirk (associating partners with Allah) about which Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Ma'idah 5:72].
It is not permissible for you to slaughter this animal for him while you know that he intends to slaughter it for other than Allah (Mighty and Majestic). If you do so, you have participated with him in the sin, even if you intended it for Allah, for that does not benefit, because the consideration is based on the intention of the owner who delegated you. So do not do this.
As for eating from the meat of this slaughtered animal, it is forbidden (haram) because it was dedicated to other than Allah. Everything that is dedicated to other than Allah or slaughtered on the altars is forbidden, as Allah mentioned that in Surat al-Ma'idah in His saying:[Al-Ma'idah 5:3] So it is among the categories of forbidden things; it is not permissible to eat it, neither for the one who slaughtered it, nor for you, nor for anyone else.
The Shaykh : Slaughtering for other than Allah is shirk (associating partners with Allah), because slaughtering is an act of worship, as Allah commanded it in His saying:
So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone].
فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْ"Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. (163) No partner has He
