Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: "And the answer to it is from two aspects: a general one and a detailed one".

The Shaykh : A general one.
The reader: "And the answer to it is from two aspects: a general one and a detailed one"

The Shaykh : What do we call this? What do we call it? Its grammatical parsing?
The student: A substitute.

The Shaykh : A substitute for what?
The student: A part of the whole.

The Shaykh : A substitute for a part of the whole. Yes.
The reader: "And the answer to it is from two aspects: a general one and a detailed one.
As for the general one, it is refutation. For the Jews and the Christians have many narratives and analogies of this type among them. Indeed, the polytheists to whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was sent used to call upon their idols and sometimes their calls were answered, just as these people's calls may sometimes be answered. And in our time, there is a group of this among the Christians"

The Shaykh : In our time?
The reader: "Among the Christians, there is a group of this"

The Shaykh : Among the Christians?
The Reciter: Yes.

The Shaykh : Very well.
The reader: "And in our time, among the Christians, there is a group of this. If this alone were evidence that Allah is pleased with it and loves it, then let the evidence be applied consistently. And that is contradictory disbelief".

The Shaykh : Among us, and this is disbelief.
The student: And that.

The Shaykh : And that, we leave it as a copy, yes.
The reader: "Then you will find that many of these people who call for aid, at a grave or elsewhere, each of them has taken an idol, having a good opinion of it and a bad opinion of another, and each of them".

The Shaykh : Yes.
The student: Took a wali.

The Shaykh : Among us, an idol, a copy.
The reader: "Each of them has taken an idol, having a good opinion of it and a bad opinion of another, and each of them claims that his idol is answered at its site and not answered at the site of another. So it is impossible for all of them to be correct, and agreeing with some of them and not others is arbitrary, and preferring one without a basis for preference, and adopting their religion in its entirety is combining opposites. For most of these people, their influence - as they claim - is according to their turning toward their idol and turning away from others, and their agreement with all of them in what they affirm - without what they deny - is due to the weakness of the influence, as they claim"

The Shaykh : Among us, it weakens.
The student: Due to weakness.

The Shaykh : With the letter ba? Okay.
The reader: "Due to the weakness of the influence, as they claim. For if one person has a good opinion of being answered at this one and that one, his influence would not be like the influence of having a good opinion of one without the other. And all of this is among the characteristics of idols. Then Bal'am ibn Ba'ura was answered among the believers of the people of Moses, and Allah stripped him of faith. And the polytheists may call for rain and be given rain, and call for help and be helped".
