Has the Pen finished writing, or is it still writing?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you. Allah (Mighty and Majestic) commanded the Pen to write what is to happen until the Day of Resurrection. And we have heard that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), during the Ascension, reached a station where he heard the scraping of the Pens.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : So, has the Pen finished writing, or are there things that are still being written?

The Shaykh : This daily writing
every day He is bringing about a matter. كل يوم هو في شأن
[Ar-Rahman 55:29]
is daily writing. And you know, what is your name?

The questioner : Mudathir.

The Shaykh : O Mudathir, do you know now if you had a small state that had no daily records, but only general records? Well, how is the creation in the heavens and the earth, and the creatures are not just humans; there are humans, jinn, beasts, and insects, Glory be to Allah! Meaning, you cannot count the species, let alone the types, let alone the individuals.

The questioner : So, the previous writing was general or summarized, meaning?

The Shaykh : Yes. So, Allah knows best, He wrote what is to happen until the Day of Resurrection. He wrote what is to happen until the Day of Resurrection. But what is in the Preserved Tablet does not change. What is in the hands of the angels, or what has specific causes, may change.

The questioner : Can we say: does it fall under the saying of the Exalted:
Allah eliminates what He wills or confirms يمحو الله ما يشاء ويثبت
[Ar-Ra'd 13:39]
?

The Shaykh : It is possible
Indeed, good deeds إن الحسنات
?

The questioner :
remove the bad deeds. يذهبن السيئات
.

The Shaykh : Yes.
