Continuation of the benefits of the hadith: (Let a group of people stop raising their eyes to the sky during prayer...)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : If someone were to ask, if a person raises his eyes to the sky but not his face, does the hadith include him?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Yes?
The student: It is included in the hadith...

The Shaykh : Read the wording of the hadith?
The student: Their eyes.

The Shaykh : Their eyes, so it appears that it is included in the hadith, even though the most common meaning is raising the eyes along with the face. The meaning is raising the eyes along with the face, but if we take the wording, we say that a person can raise his eyes and his face straight ahead.
And among the benefits of this hadith is the exaltation of the status of prayer, and that a person must be in it with perfect propriety toward Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
And among the benefits of this hadith is the clarification of the power of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He), because what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) threatened with is possible, namely that their eyes will be plucked out in an instant, and Allah the Exalted is capable of all things.
And among the benefits of this hadith is that when a person refrains from the forbidden due to the warning, the benefit is achieved. So if a person stops raising his eyes to the sky out of fear of this, we do not say that the man is showing off or seeking worldly gain with his deed. Rather, we say that Islam encourages people and instills fear in them, either through the reward or punishment in the Hereafter, or through the recompense or punishment in this world. Are not the legal punishments for unlawful sexual intercourse, falsely accusing someone of zina, and theft a cause for refraining from them?
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh : So if a person refrains from them out of fear of punishment, we do not say that the man is seeking worldly gain with his deed. Is not the mention of war spoils in jihad in the path of Allah, and captivity, and the like of that, something that encourages jihad?
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh : So if a person seeks these things in jihad along with the reward of the Hereafter, we do not say that the man is showing off or an associate of partners with Allah. The hadith:
Let a group of people stop لينتهينّ أقوام
Does it include the singular?
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh : Yes?
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh : Yes, it includes the singular, because the word "a group" includes the singular and more, yes.

The questioner : Shaykh?

The Shaykh : Yes, O... Salim.

The questioner : ...

The Shaykh : Forbidding what is wrong...

The questioner : I say a person cannot speak about it... even in the sacred precinct...
