Continuation of the explanation: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out to inform [the people] of the Night of Decree, and two Muslims quarreled, so he said, "I went out to inform you of the Night of Decree..."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : ...It has been mentioned to us previously that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) went out to inform [the people] of the Night of Decree, but two [men] quarreled, so it was taken away. "Quarreled" means to dispute or contend. This is evidence that disputing can be a cause for the removal of good, and it is indeed so. And Allah the Exalted said:
and do not dispute and [thus] lose courage and [then] your strength would depart ولا تنازعوا فتفشلوا وتذهب ريحكم
[Al-Anfal 8:46]
.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Mu'adh ibn Jabal and Abu Musa al-Ash'ari when he sent them to Yemen; he ordered them to do what?
To be cooperative with each other, meaning that one of them should obey the other, so that no dispute arises.
