The Shaykh : As for the chapter: "The question of Jibril to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding faith, Islam, and excellence in worship, and the knowledge of the Hour, and the explanation of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) to him, then he said, 'Jibril (peace be upon him) came to teach you your religion'", this hadith was narrated by Muslim in its entirety. It is that Jibril came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) while the Companions were with him, in the form of a man, with very white clothes and very black hair. 'Umar said: "No trace of travel was seen on him, and none of us recognized him." He sat down with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) in the manner of a well-mannered student, and asked him about Islam, so he informed him; and about faith, so he informed him; and about excellence in worship, so he informed him; and about the Hour and its signs, so he informed him of some of its signs but did not inform him of the Hour itself, because no one knows when the Hour will occur except Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
And at the end he said:Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 24:120, so he made all of this part of the religion, meaning he made faith, Islam, and excellence in worship part of the religion, because the religion of Islam encompasses all of them, so they are the religion of Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
He said: "So he made all of that his religion, and what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) explained to the delegation of Abd al-Qays regarding faith", where he explained to them the pillars of Islam, so he made them part of faith.
And the saying of Allah, the Exalted:[Ali 'Imran 3:85]
And by this we know that whoever claims that what the People of the Book are upon today is a religion that Allah accepts is a disbeliever who has apostatized from Islam. He is to be given the opportunity to repent, and if he repents, well and good; otherwise, his neck is struck for disbelief and apostasy, because he is denying Allah and His Messenger and the consensus of the Muslims. The Christians today are upon nothing, and the Jews are upon nothing, and the other religions are upon nothing. Only Islam is accepted. So whoever is guided to Islam is the one who is accepted, and whoever is not guided is the one who is rejected. Even the laws that are not the original Islam, if they are not in accordance with what came from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), are rejected.Sahih Muslim 1718b Yes.
And at the end he said:
This is Jibril who has come to you to teach you your religion.
هذا جبريل أتاكم يعلمكم دينكمHe said: "So he made all of that his religion, and what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) explained to the delegation of Abd al-Qays regarding faith", where he explained to them the pillars of Islam, so he made them part of faith.
And the saying of Allah, the Exalted:
And whoever desires other than Islam as religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.
ومن يبتغ غير الإسلام فلن يقبل منهAnd by this we know that whoever claims that what the People of the Book are upon today is a religion that Allah accepts is a disbeliever who has apostatized from Islam.
