Continuation of the commentary on Tafsir al-Jalalayn: “They both said: We have come” with “among us” “obedient” in it is the predominance of the masculine rational, or they were brought down to the level of addressing them

and said to it and to the earth, "Come [into being], willingly or by compulsion." They said, "We have come willingly." فقال لها وللأرض ائتيا طوعا أو كرها قالتا أتينا طائعين
[Fussilat 41:11]
The commentator and exegete says: “
They both said: We have come قالتا أتينا
among us
obedient طائعين
”
The author needed to estimate
among usبمن فينا
for two reasons: The first reason is that
obedientطائعين
is plural and
They both saidقالتا
is dual, and there is no agreement between the dual and the plural. If he had intended agreement, he would have said: They both said: We have come as two obedient females. This is one. The second reason is that he combined it with the masculine rational, so it was necessary to estimate
among usبمن فينا
, so that the rational beings would be included, and this would be from the chapter of predominance. And his saying, may Allah have mercy on him: “in it is the predominance of the masculine rational” We mentioned previously that the masculine was made predominant for its honor, or for its abundance if we say that the rational is more numerous. And his saying, may Allah have mercy on him: “they were brought down to the level of addressing them” “or they were brought down” “or they were brought down” means the issue is either predominance or that the earth and the sky were brought down to the level of the rational for addressing them, meaning because they were addressed, and generally only the rational is addressed.
