Prayer in a place adjacent to the mosque

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: We have a mosque, and next to it on the northern side is an enclosed piece of land adjacent to the mosque. We would like to designate it for women to pray in during Ramadan. Is that permissible, given that they do not see the imam but only follow him through the loudspeaker?

A: There is scholarly disagreement regarding the validity of their prayer in the aforementioned land if they do not see the imam or anyone behind him, but only hear the takbir. The most cautious course for them is not to pray in the aforementioned land, but rather to pray in their homes, unless they find a place in the mosque behind the praying congregation, or a place outside it where they can see the imam or some of the ma'mum (those praying behind the imam) while they are there.
