The ruling on one who is unable to follow the imam due to a power outage

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: A group prayed the Friday prayer in the basement (ground floor) of a mosque. During the prayer, the electricity went out, and the followers could no longer hear the imam. One of the followers stepped forward and completed the prayer with them. What is the ruling on the prayer of these people? It is known that he completed the prayer with them as Friday prayer. What is the ruling if no one had stepped forward? Does each individual complete his prayer alone? And if that is permissible, does he complete it as Zuhr or as Friday prayer, given that he heard the sermon, started the prayer with the imam, and prayed one unit with him?

A: If the situation is as the questioner described, the prayer of everyone is valid; because whoever catches one unit of the Friday prayer has caught the Friday prayer, as stated in the authentic hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
If no one had stepped forward for them, and each person prayed the last unit by himself, that would suffice for him, like one who joins the prayer late by one unit, who prays with the imam what he catches and then makes up the second unit for himself; due to the generality of his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
Whoever catches a raka of the prayer has caught the prayer.من أدرك ركعة من الصلاة فقد أدرك الصلاة
Muwatta Malik 1:15
.
And success is from Allah.
