A: The mosque imam is more entitled to lead the funeral prayer than the person designated in the will, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
No man must lead another in prayer where (the latter) has authorityلا يؤمن الرجل الرجل في سلطانه

The mosque imam is the one in authority in his mosque.
