A: He makes it up immediately. If he catches up with the imam at the third takbir, he says takbir and recites al-Fatihah. When the imam says taslim, he says the third takbir and says: “O Allah, forgive him,” until the end of the supplication. Then he says the fourth takbir and says taslim.
