Ruling on giving zakah to a poor person who has someone providing for his basic needs

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: My aunt is an elderly woman, and I and my brothers are her only providers. She has been allocated some money from the inheritance, but nothing has been finalized regarding it yet. Does she qualify for zakah or voluntary charity, given that she does not own a home of her own and is residing with me, who is responsible for her financial support? May Allah reward you with good.
A: If the situation is as described, then the woman mentioned does not qualify for zakah, because she is wealthy due to your financial support of her. Likewise, any poor person who has a relative who provides for his basic needs does not qualify for zakah as long as that relative is providing for his basic needs.
