Does a man who experiences a wet dream during the day in Ramadan invalidate his fast?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: From the brother / A. M. A. from Riyadh, he says: If a fasting man experiences a wet dream during the day in Ramadan, does his fast become invalid or not, and is he required to hasten to perform the ritual bath?

Answer: A wet dream does not invalidate the fast, because it is not by the choice of the fasting person. He must perform the ghusl for major ritual impurity when he sees the water, which is the semen. Even if he experiences a wet dream after the Fajr prayer and delays the ghusl until the time of the Zuhr prayer, there is no harm in that. Likewise, if he has intercourse with his wife at night and does not perform ghusl until after the dawn breaks, there is no blame on him for that. It is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he would wake up in a state of major ritual impurity from intercourse, then perform ghusl and fast.
Likewise, if a menstruating woman or a woman with post-natal bleeding becomes pure at night and does not perform ghusl until after the dawn breaks, there is no harm in that for them, and their fast is valid. However, it is not permissible for them, nor for a person in a state of major ritual impurity, to delay the ghusl or the prayer until the sun rises. Rather, it is obligatory for all of them to hasten to perform ghusl before the sun rises so that they can perform the prayer in its time. And the man must hasten to perform ghusl from major ritual impurity before the Fajr prayer so that he can pray in congregation.
And it is obligatory for a menstruating woman and a woman with post-natal bleeding, if they see purity during the night, to hasten to perform ghusl so that they can pray Maghrib and Isha' of that night, as a group of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) issued a fatwa to that effect. Likewise, if they become pure at the time of Asr, it is obligatory for them to hasten to perform ghusl so that they can pray Zuhr and Asr before the sun sets. And success is from Allah.
