Ruling on transitioning from Ifrad to Qiran

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: It is mentioned in some books of hadith that a pilgrim performing Ifrad is not permitted to transition from Ifrad to Qiran. Is this correct?

Answer: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the pilgrims performing Ifrad and Qiran to transition from their Hajj and Qiran to 'Umrah. No one has the right to speak against the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered his Companions during the Farewell Pilgrimage, and they were in three groups: a group entered the state of ihram with Qiran, meaning they combined Hajj and 'Umrah; a group entered the state of ihram with Hajj alone (Ifrad); and a group entered the state of ihram with 'Umrah.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had combined the talbiyah for Hajj and 'Umrah, meaning he was performing Qiran, because he had brought sacrificial animals. So, when they approached Makkah, he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered them to make it an 'Umrah, except for those who had sacrificial animals with them. When they entered Makkah, performed tawaf, and sa'y, he emphasized to them that they should shorten their hair and exit the state of ihram, except for those who had sacrificial animals with them. They listened and obeyed, shortening their hair and exiting the state of ihram. This is the Sunnah for one who arrives performing Ifrad or Qiran without sacrificial animals, so that he may rest and not burden himself. When the eighth day arrives, he enters the state of ihram for Hajj. It is not hidden what great good lies in this, because if the pilgrim remains in the state of ihram from the beginning of Dhul-Hijjah or from the middle of Dhul-Qa'dah, he will not be able to avoid what is forbidden for one in the state of ihram to do; that would be difficult for him. He should accept this facilitation from Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). And success is from Allah.
