Explanation of the author's statement: After the prophets—Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus son of Mary—withdraw from intercession

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He says: "After the prophets—Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus son of Mary—withdraw from intercession" This is because the people are afflicted with distress and sorrow that they cannot bear, so some of them say to others: "Will you not seek someone to intercede for us with Allah to relieve us from this station?" Allah then places in their hearts the idea of going to Adam, because he is the father of mankind. They go to Adam, complain to him of their situation, and ask him to intercede for them with Allah. However, he mentions his sin, which was eating from the tree after being forbidden to do so. Does his eating from the tree serve as an excuse for withholding intercession? The answer is: A minute. The answer is: The intercessor does not approach the one for whom he intercedes while in a state of having disobeyed him, because he is ashamed; he is certainly ashamed.
Consider this: if someone wronged you, and a person who is your father's friend said, "May Allah reward you with good, intercede for me with so-and-so." Yes? We have three people here now: three individuals. One person wronged another. He wronged him, then a third person came and asked the wrongdoer to intercede for him with the person who was wronged. Will he intercede or not? He has no face to intercede; he is ashamed. Even if he did intercede, what would he say? He would say, "Your sin has not yet been repaired; how can you come to intercede?" So Adam excuses himself because he is in a position where he is shy before Allah (Mighty and Majestic) to intercede with Him (Glorified and Exalted is He) after having disobeyed Him. This is part of the perfection of his proper conduct, although the effect of that sin has been completely removed. Allah the Exalted said:
And Adam disobeyed his Lord and erred. (122) Then his Lord chose him and turned to him in forgiveness and guided [him]. وعصى آجم ربه فغوى ثم احجتباه ربه فتاب عليه وهدى
[Taha 20:121-122]
Good.
Allah places in their hearts that they should go to Noah after Adam. First: because Noah is the second father of humanity, is he not? He is the second father, because Allah the Exalted destroyed the people except his descendants. He said:
And We made his descendants وجعلنا ذريته
What?
They are the remaining ones هم الباقين
Look, the word "they" is a separating pronoun that implies restriction.
They are the remaining ones هم الباقين
So they go to Noah because he is the second father, and because he is the first messenger Allah sent to the people of the earth. They ask him for intercession, but he excuses himself by what? By having asked for what he had no knowledge of. He said:
My Lord, indeed my son is of my family; and indeed, Your promise is true ربي إن ابني من أهلي وإن وعدك الحق
[Hud 11:45]
Then they go to Abraham. Allah places in their hearts that they should go to Abraham because Abraham is the intimate friend of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and because Abraham is the father of the prophets. He is not the father of humanity; he is the father of the prophets.
