Continuation of the explanation of the author's statement: "And among them are the truthful ones and the martyrs"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In his intention, truthful in his speech, and truthful in his action.
As for his truthfulness in his intention, he has complete sincerity for Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and complete following of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). He has purified his sincerity and following, so he did not make any partner to Allah the Exalted in his work, nor did he make following anyone other than the Sunnah of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) in his work. So there is no shirk (associating partners with Allah) with him, nor any bid'ah (religious innovation). Thus, he is truthful in his intention.
Truthful in his speech; he does not speak except the truth. It is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
Hold fast to truthfulness, for truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. And a man will continue to be truthful and seek truthfulness until he is recorded with Allah as a truthful one (siddiq). عليكم بالصدق فإن الصدق يهدي إلى البر وإن البر يهدي إلى الجنة ولا يزال الرجل يصدق ويتحرى الصدق حتى يكتب عند الله صديقا

Truthful in his action. What does it mean to be truthful in his action? It means that his action does not contradict his speech; his action confirms his speech. So if he says, he does. And by this, he is distinguished from those who have a resemblance to the hypocrites who say what they do not do. So the truthful one (siddiq) is the one who came with truth and was truthful with it. He came with truth, so he was truthful in his intention, in his speech, and what comes after that? In his action.
Truthfulness in intention is purifying sincerity, and what comes after that? Following, by being sincere to Allah the Exalted in his work and his worship, and being sincere in following whom? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Good, this truthfulness also means being truthful with what the clear evidence has established as truthful. For this reason, Abu Bakr was the first to be named "As-Siddiq" (The Truthful). When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was taken in the Night Journey to the Sacred Mosque and ascended to the heavens, the disbelievers began to mock him and deny him, saying: "How can you go, O Muhammad, in one night and return in one night, reaching what you reached in the heavens, while if we go to Syria, we remain a month to reach it and a month to return?" They took this as a pretext to lie about the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). When they came to Abu Bakr and said: "Your companion is telling stories, saying such and such!" He said: "If he said that, then he has spoken the truth." From that day, he was named As-Siddiq.
"And among them are also the martyrs" So who are the martyrs? It was said: They are the scholars, because the scholar testifies to the legislation of Allah and testifies regarding the servants of Allah. The scholar testifies to the legislation of Allah because he says that Allah has obligated such and such, forbidden such and such, and permitted such and such, and that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came with such and such. So he is a witness to the legislation of Allah, a witness to the servants of Allah with what? That the argument has become established against them. For this reason, the scholar is considered a conveyor, conveying from Allah the Exalted and His Messenger the legislation that His Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) brought. So he is a witness to you, a witness to the creation.
And it was said: The martyr is the one who is killed in the path of Allah. The correct view is that the verse is general for this and that.
