If a person misses the witr prayer and then forgets to perform it during the duha time, when should he make it up?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : If a person misses the witr prayer and then forgets to perform it during the duha time, when should it be made up?

The Shaykh : What appears to me is that he should make it up at any time other than the prohibited times, whenever he remembers it, due to the generality of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Whoever sleeps through a prayer or forgets it, let him pray it when he remembers it. من نام عن صلاة أو نسيها فليصلها إذا ذكرها
.
However, he should not make up the witr as an odd number, but rather as an even number. If his custom was to perform witr with three rak'ahs, he should make up four; if his custom was to perform witr with five, he should make up six; if his custom was to perform witr with seven, he should make up eight; if his custom was to perform witr with nine, he should make up ten; and if his custom was to perform witr with eleven, he should make up twelve. This is based on the statement of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her):
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when sleep overtook him or he was ill, would pray twelve rak'ahs during the day. كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا غلبه نوم أوجع صلى من النهار ثنتي عشر ركعة
.
