The reader: “And occupy them during the dispute with one another, *** some with others, for that is the wisdom of the knights.
And if they launch an attack against you, do not be *** panicked by their assault, nor be a coward.
And stand firm, and do not attack without troops, for *** this is not praiseworthy among the brave.
So if you see the band of Islam *** has joined its armies with the Sultan,
then there, break through the ranks, and do not be *** the weak and the cowardly, nor the panicked.”
