Is there an expiation for the wife if her husband has intercourse with her?

Question: A man had intercourse with his wife during the day in Ramadan, and he has already fasted the expiation for two consecutive months. Is there anything required of his wife or not? May Allah reward you.

Answer: In the name of Allah, and all praise is due to Allah: She owes the same as he does if she was willing and he did not force her. If she is unable to fast, she must feed sixty poor people, and the amount for each poor person is half a sa' (a dry measure of about 3 kg). However, if he forced her through violence and severe beating, then she owes nothing, and the sin is upon him alone. But if she was lax with him, then she owes the same expiation as he does, exactly the same.
