Question: From 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Baz to the honored brother who identified himself as: Mr. H. M. A. May Allah guide him to what pleases Him and increase him in knowledge and faith. Amen.
Peace be upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings, and after that:
Your noble letter reached me. May Allah connect you to the rope of guidance and success. The three questions it contained were already known.

Question: What is the ruling on delegating your son to perform the stoning of the pillars on your behalf due to your inability?

Answer: There is no blame on you in that if the stoning of the pillars is difficult for you because of your advanced age; based on the saying of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) :
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[Surat al-Taghabun: 16]. May Allah guide me and you and all the Muslims to understanding the religion and steadfastness upon it. Indeed, He is the All-Hearing, the Near. And peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
