Stoning the pillars
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 2269 )
Q1: What is obligatory for one who stoned the pillars on the morning of the second day of the festival, then learned afterwards that the time for stoning is after the sun has passed its zenith?
A1: If one stoned the pillars on the second day of the festival of sacrifice before the sun passed its zenith, he must repeat the stoning after the sun passes its zenith on that day. If he did not realize his mistake until the third or fourth day, he must repeat the stoning after the sun passes its zenith on the third or fourth day, before stoning for that day which he mentioned. If he did not realize it until after the sun set on the fourth day, he does not stone, and he must offer a sacrificial animal in the sacred precinct and feed the poor with it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
